FILLING THE BELL WARMS OUR CITY'S CHILDREN & OUR HEARTS
Through our "Fill the Bell" program, the generous donations from individuals and organizations throughout Central Indiana provide Indianapolis firefighters have the opportunity to go holiday shopping to help clothe kids in need.
Where Our Money Goes
Every year, Indianapolis firefighters team up with area children for a shopping spree known as our Clothe-A-Child" program. We take 35-40 children from the ages of 7-14 shopping with a firefighter for winter clothes. We make sure they receive a coat, hat, gloves, under garments, pants, shirts, socks, and shoes.
We also make and deliver 125-150 complete Christmas dinners which include 5lb ham, potatoes, sugar, flour, cornbread, fruit, juice, soup, crackers, and cookies.
How we get our Funding
Through donations from private and corporate, firefighters stand in the malls collecting funds two weeks prior to Christmas and also donate through out the year from their pay. Firefighters volunteer their time and money to this program and all the money goes back to the citizens in need. Donations can also be made anytime by contacting us directly.
 UPCOMING EVENTS Fill The Bell will launch its 2011 holiday season on Dec.10. You can find us at convenient locations at Circle Centre and Castleton Square Malls from Dec.10 - Dec. 24 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily. Clothe-a-Child will be taking children shopping at Sears at Castleton Square Mall on Dec. 10 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. HOW YOU CAN HELP Volunteer!
